| 01/30/2010 05:52 PM | It's been awhile since I have blogged... Zach and Chuck have been in Texas since Jan.1st,2010.Zach has been running the winter series there and practicing.Zach is doing very well he has decided to give up the 85 class this year and run Supermini and 125.He is also practicing on a 250.So I feel there are great things to come from Zach as he is looking awesome on those big bikes.I have always said I think he has a God given Talent and it shows so we are very proud of him and cant wait to see him shine this season.Zach and Chuck are very happy in Texas so maybe a move in are future..Zach and I are ready Chuck is finally coming around so we will see. |
| 11/01/2009 06:58 PM | Branson was a wash out it rained everyday except for the first day we were there.Police came with the whole evacuation team and we were evacuated because the James river we were on flooded. So Branson is rescheduled for Nov.11-15.Zach will attend Branson then from there he is going straight to Florida to the Mini O's Winter Nationals.Afer the Mini O's he will stay in Florida until Christmas then come home for Christmas then Go back to Florida,Georgis,Texas somewhere for rest of winter.More than likely Texas for nationals there in Jan.Zach has ben training and working out should do great at Branson! |
| 09/14/2009 09:36 PM | Well it has been awhile since I have blogged so here goes things have been busy summer has flew by.Zach has had a busy summer he attended Ponca and Loretta's again this year.Zach did awesome at Ponca had some bike trouble at Loretta's but all in all things have been great.Since coming home from the Nationals Zach has kinda took a break from racing he has been practicing everyday here at home and a friends track, working out and doing his school work but he also has been doing other things 13yr olds like to do like wakeboarding going to the lake and hanging with friends enjoying the rest of Summer.Motocross is Zach's first love dont get me wrong but sometimes you need a break kids have to be kids too and experience all Childhood has to offer because life is to short. If pushed to hard they will get burned out and give up something they once loved to do.So for now he is doing what he wants Zach has a good head on his shoulders he knows what he needs to do to make it back to the Nationals ( He has been there several times)Zach will be going away for the winter plans have already been made he then will work hard and be ready for the Nationals next year. |
| 05/05/2009 09:20 PM | Been awhile since I have blogged.Zach has been practicing for his regionals first one is May 30&31 in Jacksonville,Ohio.Chuck and zach are thinking about heading down to Georgia this weekend for a Loretta Qualifier and stay and practice after that.Zach has been looking good in practice so with a little luck and some hard work he will be on his way back to the Loretta Lynn's National this Aug. |
| 04/20/2009 10:18 PM | Zach raced this weekend at Crossroads in Mason,IL it was a Loretta Lynn's Qualifier.Zach qualified in the supermini with a 8th overall.Zach had some brake issues meaning no brakes but managed to pul off qualifying. We were hoping his new motor would be in before qualifier but wasnt oh well cant wait to see him run with it at the regionals.Zach also qualified in the 85 Sr mod class with a 4th overall after a very muddy one lap. That was what was decided run 1 moto 1 lap.Not sure if Zach will qualifiy in any other regions or not already qualified in 2 regions.Time to decide where Zach is going until the regionals talk between him and his dad is Georgia. No need to waste time around here....Will see where he decides go?????? |
| 03/23/2009 09:56 PM | Zach raced in Indiana this weekend at a Loretta Lynn qualifier. He qualified in the schoolboy class 6th overall and in 85 mod 3rd overall could have done better in 85 mod if he had his new springs we ordered he would have been able to jump.Supermini had issues again so we have yet to qualify it so Zach recieved a dnf in that class.Oh well we are proud of him he did a good job.Not sure of the plans this weekend I think going practicing somewhere... |
| 03/22/2009 03:30 PM | Dear Nephew, Never let anybodys small talk discourage you from what you do best which is MOTOCROSS RACE. The ones who sit around and have time to small talk should be taken lessons from you, you'd think after you waxed there kids asses they'd try to find out your style and roll with you. But there are so many jealous parents out that will do anything to take away what you have. Give em hell Zach tell them what you think and if they don't like it put your boot right in ther ass! Now that's the way we roll! Now I'd like to address the small talk about your a big boy SO WHAT! There again jealous parents that are afraid you might hurt there little boys. Kick there asses Zach and take names later. Your Aunty loves you and supports you all the way. I'll see you at Loretta Lynns again this year. love your Aunt Lora P.S. TO ALL YOU JEALOUS PEOPLE DON'T HATE CONGRATULATE !!! |
| 03/17/2009 05:59 PM | Update To the last blog. The results of the qualifier were just posted Zach made it in the Schoolboy class he got 8th overall.Good Job Zach! Pretty Good for having bike trouble huh? |
| 03/17/2009 01:43 PM | This weekend Qualifier wasn't to good to Zach He blew up three bikes. While his bike were working he was doing great putting in a good race but when his machines started to shut down it was over.So Zach didnt qualifiy this weekend but that is ok we are very proud of his ride anyway it wasnt his ride just his machines,But Zach is on supermini and 125's so new bike parts to learn but it will be fine.AN I would like to address a comment made to Zach this weekend about him being to big for a supermini "they are breaking because you are to big"I cant believe that anyone has the right to tell another persons child what they should and shouldnt be on.That is between Chuck and Zach and we are the ones buying the bikes and parts so it shouldnt be anyone concerns. But people tend to forget Zach is 12 and Zach still wants to ride 85 Sr which Chuck has found one to buy him so let the talk began. These comments are made to Zach which is inappropriate to say to a child in my opinion tell us parents or keep it to yourself. The moral of my story is mind your on bussiness worry about what your kid is riding and how big they are and leave mine alone!Zach's is going to another qualifier in Indiana this weekend.Good Luck Zach! |
| 03/13/2009 09:25 PM | I haven't blogged lately things have been crazy. So here goes.Zach has got two new bikes which he will be racing two different classes this year Supermini and 125 Schoolboy.Zach is excited to be on a big bike mom on the other hand is nervous but I have watched him practice and must say he looks damn good on it.This weekend Zach is at Du Quion,IL his first Loretta Lynn's Qualifier for the year also his first race on his new bikes and new classess.Zach is still going to ride 85Sr class.I wish him Good Luck I am sure he will do great also I would like to Thank Zach's new sponsor his yearMotocrossnites. They have provided Zach will some awsome graphics for his new bikes.I would also like to Thank all the other sponsors who have chosen to support Zach again this year.We are very greatful to have you. |
| 11/20/2008 04:53 PM | Zach left last night for Florida to compete at the Mini O's National.Zach will be there for two weeks Zach and his Dad are going to other tracks in Florida also.Good Luck Zach you will do great! |
| 11/10/2008 05:18 PM | Zach went to a friends house this past week and did some riding on his track.Zach has been training for his next National Mini O's in Florida which is in two weeks.Sat.he went to a practice track to ride. |
| 11/10/2008 05:16 PM | Zach raced at Crossroads Last Sunday he finished 1st overall in 85cc Stock and Mini1.Zach went 1-1 in the 85cc stock and 2-1 in the Mini 1 class on his stock 85cc Suzuki Zach slid out last lap and fell that is why he finished second. That was first race of the day so after Zach new what to expect there was no stopping him for 1st all three of his moto's after that.Zach wasn't to happy with himself sliding out but it happens and is sometimes unavoidable on some of the tracks here in Illinois where they are like slick concrete. |
| 11/01/2008 04:02 PM | Zach went to a friends private track today to practice.Sunday he will be racing at Crossroads in Mason,IL |
| 11/01/2008 04:00 PM | Haven't had a chance to update blog section until now so here goes...Zach did great in Branson considering he got hurt again there this year in practice the first day.A kid went down in front of him and Zach was already in the air to jump and guess what? The flagger wasn't flagging imagine that.So Zach had no where to go but down.So we treated a sore back/muscle all weekend long he was in alot of pain. All in all though he finish 5th overall in the 85(12-13) Stock and Mod.which he had to run that age group because Branson goes by what you are the day of the race.He also ran the thru 16 yrs old class and finished 16th by that time his shoulder was killing him.We had a good time there and look forward to going back next year.Zach's next National is Mini O's over Thanksgiving in Florida. So Zach is training and practicing for that now. |
| 10/02/2008 04:42 PM | Zach raced Round 9 of the Missouri State Championship at Archview this weekend he did awesome he got first both moto's and overall in the 85 stock and open class.Next up Branson I think Zach shows great promise for some great results! As you all remember Branson wasn't so great to us last year that is when Zach lacerated his kidney in practice and spent two weeks in the hospital. But Zach is ready he is stronger and determined to win a championship at Branson.Good Luck Zach! |
| 10/02/2008 04:37 PM | Well it has been awhile since I have updated Zach's blog.Zach took a litle time off about a month from racing because his dad Chuck had open heart surgery so while dad has been recovering Zach has been practicing getting ready for his next national which is Branson. He did take some time out to interview with the local news which made mom and dad pretty proud it is in the video section check it out. |
| 08/24/2008 07:37 PM | Well this weekend Zach did something a little different that he enjoys doing. He went out on the lake.He did alittle wakeboarding, knee boarding,Skiing, tubing.Which is great for endurance/strenghthing so he did what you call a fun workout this weekend. Not sure yet what the plan is for Labor Day going somewhere racing just haven't decided yet where. |
| 08/19/2008 03:02 PM | Zach went to Taylorville to race on Sunday he got first in the 85cc Jr and Mini1 both moto's and overall. He is practicing this week going to Talorville on Mon.and Tue. to a private track of one of his friends to ride.He is working getting ready for his next National which is Branson October 9-12. |
| 08/12/2008 04:14 PM | Zach went to Casey on Sunday he got first in the 85jr and mini 1 class. He also had a fun time riding around on his new RZR! |
| 08/12/2008 04:11 PM | So we are finally home after 18 days on the road.Let me first start by saying we had a blast and Zach did well and we are very proud of him. With that being said I will start with week one Ponca results 85cc(9-11)stock first moto 2nd,second moto 3rd, third moto 12th overall 10th.85cc(9-11)Mod.first moto 5th,second moto 5th,third moto 22nd overall 21st.As you can tell in the run offs somethings happened in Mod. class Zach crashed coming over a jump because the flagger wasn't doing his job as to warn the others there were two bikes down.So the flagger pissed that one away for him.In the Stock class there was a pile up in the first turn of course Zach was caught up in that so he was at a stand still pretty much until they all got up and going. But all in all it was a great time Zach brought home a nice size trophy for being in the top 10.Now for week two at Loretta Lynn's Ranch what a great time that was 85cc(9-11)stock class zach went 9,15,10 for 9th overall.85cc(9-11)Mod class Dnf,18,13 overall 22nd.Zach did very well he did tell us he would get a little tired because it is a 20 minute plus two lap race.An considering how hot it was 100 plus degree going as fast and hard as you can it is quite a challenge and considering Zach is coming back from a lacerated Kidney we feel he did a great job and know he is still getting his strength back and getting stronger everyday.Plus his mod.bike had issues a rod went threw the case got a Dnf the first race but Suzuki fixed it for us and got us back out there for the next race.Thank you Suzuki.Zach brought home a nice big plaque.I would also like to thank our family and friends who made the trip down or just watched from home Thank you your support means alot to all of us.We are blessed to have such great family and friends! |
| 07/15/2008 11:43 PM | The time has come for Zach's two Nationals.Zach and family leave tommorrow. We will be at Ponca City,Ok the first 10 days and then 8 days at Loretta Lynn's Ranch. We are all very excited to go.Zach has worked very hard to get to this place in his racing and we are very proud of him and wish him the very best.We are sure he will do great.I will let everyone know how it goes! |
| 06/30/2008 02:04 PM | This weekend Zach did alot of practicing he rode at a friends private track on Sat.and on Sun. Zach and a friend went to a track in St.Louis to ride.Zach is working hard getting ready for his 2 Nationals we leave in two weeks. So for now I think the plan is lots of Seat Time...... |
| 06/25/2008 11:04 PM | Zach had his Regional this weekend at Mt.Carroll,IL the track sucked,it was a unorganized mess.Zach managed to make the best of it though he qualified in the 85cc Stock Class so he is Qualified for Stock and Mod class for the National's at Loretta Lynn's.Zach's focus now is to train and practice he has three weeks until his two National's.Zach has amazing speed and looks great I am sure he will do great. |
| 06/16/2008 07:26 PM | Zach practiced this weekend at a friends private track and spent Father's Day with his Dad.This week he is getting ready for his next Loretta Lynn Regional which will be at Mt.Carroll,Il we will pull out Wed.evening for the track.Zach has had a great time the last two weeks he has had Carter a racing buddy over we want to Thank his Family for allowing him to come and stay with us we sure have enjoyed Carter here and will miss him when he goes home next week. |
| 06/12/2008 08:57 AM | Zach's Regional this weekend in Kentucky was not to good.Zach went to qualify his stock bike and was doing a great job when two kids landed on him.We thought he might have a concussion because his head hurt and he seemed alittle goofy for awhile the Emt people (Idiots) pulled off his helmet without unstrapping it and ripped out his earring and put a big scratch on the back of his ear.Zach turned out ok though just a headache for the day.You just never know how things are going to turn out at a race...So this weekend Zach is going to practice.Next weekend he has another Regional at Mt.Carroll,Il. |
| 06/02/2008 10:24 PM | Well this weekend Zach went to Taylorville on Sunday to race a Ponca Qualifier but it was cancelled after the track was to muddy. So he went to Sullivan to ride on his friend Bri's track with a bunch of his friends so he ended up riding and having a good time with his dirtbike buddies after all.Next weekend Zach is off to Kentucky to the Mid-East Loretta Lynn Regional to Qualify his stock bike.I also wanted to add Pixstarr Photography ask us to sign a waiver so he could enter a picture of Zach jumping in a photo contest.I thought that was pretty exciting... |
| 05/27/2008 10:19 AM | Zach is going to Loretta Lynn's National in July He made It!!Zach got 6th overall in the 85cc Mod. class which they took top 7.In his 85cc stock class he got a dnf his bike locked up second lap which sucked he was doing good.He will have another chance to make it in the stock class in two weeks in Kentucky. We had a fun weekend in Pa with friends. We are so proud of Zach he has worked hard and it showed this weekend he is right where he should be which is Awesome.Good job Zach. |
| 05/11/2008 10:02 PM | Zach did not race anywhere this weekend he took the weekend off to spend time with family for Mother's Day and get ready for his trip to Pa.Zach flys out of Chicago on Tuesday to go stay with family in Pa for 9 days to get ready for his Loretta Lynn Regional the 24th and 25th of May.We will go down and meet him.Good Luck Zach and speed be with you.We know you will do great. |
| 05/06/2008 03:02 PM | This weekend Zach raced a Ponca Qualifier/ Suzuki Contingency race at Southfork Taylorville,IL.Zach got 1st place both motos in the 85cc Jr and Mini 1 and won some more Suzuki money...Zach is showing some Awesome Speed he not only won he caught and passed all the seniors and they were a seperate gate drop.Way to go Zach! Keep up the good work. Not sure yet where Zach is racing next weekend or practicing.I will update the schedule when we know. |
| 04/28/2008 06:20 PM | Zach got paid! Zach had a great weekend at Ltm in Casey,IL he won both moto's in the 85cc Jr and Mini 1 Class so he got paid some Suzuki contingency money.Zach has mastered the downhill triple he is pretty proud of his accomplishment.Zach was also interviewed by the history channel. It will air sometime in the fall. How exciting!Next weekend Zach will Race at Taylorville for a Ponca City Qualifier and Suzuki Contingency. |
| 04/24/2008 11:30 AM | Our trip to Pa was good Zach qualified he got 3rd in the Stock and 1st in the Mod.So he is qualified in four regions now. This weekend Zach wanted to hang local so he is going to Casey,Il for a Illini Super Series Race that is paying Suzuki contingency so he will get paid.Go Zach make the money! |
| 04/14/2008 09:24 AM | Zach raced at LTM in Casey,Il yesterday he got 1st in 85cc stock and Mini1.The weather was yucky so they cancelled after the first motos.Zach had fun though he has been traveling alot lately so it is nice to go local and see your buddies and hang out.Speaking of buddies one of our friends Brant Hanshaw broke his foot yesterday we wish him a speedy recovery.Well this weekend Zach is off to Mt.Morris,Pa for a LL qualifer. |

He got 1st place in the 85cc open class.I so enjoy watching him ride he has a god given talent for this sport he is so awesome on that bike. Not sure the plan for this weekend Zach's Birthday is on Sat.but next weekend we are off to Mt.Morris,Pa to another Lorretta Lynn Qualifier. |
| 04/02/2008 03:42 PM | Too everyone who thinks that Zach is too big for the 85(9-11) class keep in mind he is only 11yrs old I am sure you are in your age group right? Last I checked you had to be 12 yrs old to ride 125.So GET A HOBBY........... worry about yourselves and where you are and how big and old you are okay! |
| 04/01/2008 03:29 PM | Zach raced 85cc mod today 1st moto he got 2nd the second moto was cancelled due to rain so they counted first moto as overall so we got a 2nd place. It is amazing in this race world how people cheat we were going to protest the second moto because Zach beat this kid on Sat. and on Sun. he beat us it was clear he was cheating you could tell how his bike was pulling on Zach and the others. The parents were going around saying we were cheating on Sat. so I guess that is the only way they could win they are lucky it rained or they would have been called out with our protest we will meet again and if that bike is out there we will protest them.It is pretty bad when your from Florida and come to a track and ask all these questions about Zach (who is he) and tell people you planned on coming to Kentucky and walking away with it.Well too bad you met Zach Loehr one damn good rider who showed you dont count your chickens before they hatch............ |
| 03/29/2008 10:28 PM | Well the day started off great Zach was 5th off the gate and took the lead 4th turn.Zach had a huge lead was riding good when he fell over in a corner of mud he couldn't get his bike started he broke his clutch lever when he fell.He managed to finally get his bike started and got 9th his first moto lets just say for a better word he was MAD!!!!2nd moto he came out like a lion and got a good lead from the pack and got 1st.So he finished overall 5th place in the 85cc stock class which he qualified they take top 8.So me and his dad are very proud of him.Tommorrow Zach runs the 85cc mod.class. |
| 03/28/2008 05:23 PM | Today was practice in Kentucky and Chuck said Zach looked good he looked real FAST... People even complemented how fast he has got.So things are off to a good start. |
| 03/27/2008 09:30 PM | Well Chuck and Zach are off to Sebree,Kentucky for a Lorette Lynn Qualifer this weekend.Hopefully the weather is not a muddy mess.Good Luck Zach! |
